You put it off until the end of your days to do list
You don’t have a workout schedule
You use the same machines or do the same workout every day
You work hard in the gym and don’t succeed in the kitchen
You haven’t set any goals and don’t have record of your starting physique
You have a negative mindset and don’t look for motivation or positivity
You use all your excuses
You’re doing it alone and haven’t found an accountability partner
You buy unhealthy snacks for the family/kids
What to do instead...
Set your own schedule. Having a workout partner can be motivating and keep you accountable. But if that person makes your schedule inconsistent or if you don't want to go when she's not going.. go incognito!
Put working out on your schedule first. It doesn't have to be the first thing you do, but when you're writing out today's to-do's make sure you set a time for working out and you get it done when you say you will. Waiting until everything else is complete will result in not working out.
Make a schedule. Even if it's just one week at a time
Along with 'make a schedule', make sure that schedule has which workouts you're doing each day. You wont see progress if you're into the gym blind or doing the same thing each day.
Diet is 50% of the progress. If you're not fueling your body with good stuff, the workouts you're doing so well on, wont bring the progress you want.
Take before and after pictures! Set a day at least a month apart for your after shot. Weekly, take measurements (don't use the scale) to track your progress.
"Whether you think you can or you think you cant, you're probably right."
You're a mom, or you're 40, or you have bad genetics, whatever! Those excuses are holding you back. (refer to 7)
Find someone to chat health and fitness with! It doesn't have to be someone going to your same gym or living in your house. It's good if you can talk to this person at least twice a week on the phone or internet.
If half your grocery cart has greens and leans, but the other half has processed snack foods, you're going to cave. Get the whole family on board. If you've decided your health and fitness is important to you, why would you keep feeding family the junk that has destroyed your body?
