The first step is writing it down. Get it out of your head so you're not overwhelmed and forgetful.
Write tasks in a daily notebook and appointments in a calendar.
Write down your top to-do's each evening for the next day. Doing this has helped me fall asleep faster and decreased my anxiety.
Schedule a designated day(s) for laundry. Not only does this save you from doing laundry every day, but it'll save water and utilities too!
Set days for grocery shopping. This will save you multiple trips to the store per week. Further, write down items as you run out of them.
Create your meal plan and grocery list prior to the shopping and prepping. This will be a huge time + money saver!
Take your top to-do's and organize them. Draw a dotted line and put below the line the tasks that can roll over to the next day if not completed.
Don't procrastinate grueling tasks. Get them out of the way first so the rest of the day is a breeze.
Set a timer for your tasks. I tend to get a notification and jump from emails to blogs to Facebook. If you set a timer and stick to one task at a time you will be more efficient.
Pack whatever you can the night before. Whether that's your purse or brief case, gym bag, lunch box or merely setting your keys out on the counter so you don't spend time searching for them in the morning.
Get the vision out of your head. Write it down and present it in an appealing way where you will see it daily. This could be referring to anything from your meal plan, your monthly calendar, your goals for the month, or a vision board like this one:
Dishes need to be done? Laundry isn't folding? Get your kiddos to help you!
Or hire a maid... either way haha
Take it with you
Have your daily to-do's, calendar, or vision board presented in a way that you can take a version with you. This could mean having a screen shot of your meal plan saved on your phone, your daily to-do written in your notes on your phone,
Everything from the cards in your wallet, the items in your car to the food in your fridge. Spend time organizing so you don't waste more time trying to find things.
Learn to say no
If it's not on your priority list ignore it. If someone's asking you to do something that is not crucial, say NO!
