Tighten your core during every exercise no matter what.
Do high intensity interval training (If you don't know what this is email me!)
Don't use assistance when doing abs (ie. holding down feet or arm assistance).
Lay your back flat on the ground when doing floor exercises, don't let there be a space between your back and the floor. This will tighten the core even more.
When doing ab exercises make sure your abs are the first muscle group to take action with movement. If not, other muscles may be giving too much assistance.
Do a variety of workouts. Don't just do crunches, there are so many core exercises.
Don't do abs every day. You shouldn't work any muscle group every day.
All forms of exercises target your abs in some way. Squats, cardio, shoulder press. etc, cross training and becoming all around fit is best for sliming your tummy.
Don't be afraid to use more weight. I use 15Ib weights during my core exercises.
Utilize driving time to tighten your core. I breathe out then breathe in and tighten my core, and I do mini seated crunches when I'm on long drives.
Posture is important in all forms of exercise. Your posture effects your biomechanics and form. Poor posture leads to imbalances. Proper posture aids in muscle growth and reduces risk of injury.
Find a good stress reducer that works for you.
Get more sleep!
