But I worked out today because it releases my anxiety. I worked out because it takes my mind to a different world. It relaxes my body and for 25 minutes today it made me forget how busy I am. I worked out today because I ate pizza. Yes, I ate pizza today.. OKAY I was practically force fed but still, I'm human I don't eat egg whites and spinach 24/7.
I needed to burn off that pizza, but I was also sitting all day. Even if I had eaten healthy all day long, I still had been sitting at a computer all day long and my body needed to expend energy.
If I didn't work out today, if I didn't work out all week, and I sit at a desk all day, (like most Americans) I would likely experience weight gain, chronic back soreness, and be at risk for diseases such as depression, severe anxiety, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and others associated with a sedentary lifestyle.
I worked out today because I knew I would get that feeling of accomplishment when I finished. I knew I'd be more relaxed. I worked out today because I was stressed out and annoyed that my technology wasn't working. I knew that I would feel relaxed and happier for the rest of my evening.
