My name is Kodie Talley (24) I'm the Founder of an online team called The Limitless Leaders. We are women of all ages with a wide variety of fitness levels who are looking to motivate and inspire others with our journey through both fitness and lifestyle.
The years following my new adventure to become not only a business owner, but a business mentor to other young women my age, were a few of the darkest years of my life. My babe (Tanner) and I always say, growth and strength is developed through hardship and struggles. No one great ever accomplished anything great with ease.
I was a very insecure, self conscious, lost and broke girl in college. I never quite found my footing in the college party scene, sorority life, or campus christian center. I allowed my relationships with men define my self worth. I've been beaten down verbally, emotionally manipulated and physically taken advantage of.
I found myself finishing my Junior year of college with zero self worth, anxiety, depression, and no social life. You see, I put the relationship with a guy before my relationship with my girlfriends. Conversations would revolve around my obsession with a guy, how mistreated I felt, and how anxious I was about them cheating on me. Men would borrow my car to stay the night with another woman and return it the next day. The boy would drop me off at his place and head back to the party to be with another girl. He'd "Go work on a group project" and have movie nights with her.
All the while I was home ignoring my gut.
Through all of this, I was a full time student, working multiple part time jobs. I was research assistant to a professor in the Public Health department. I was overwhelmed by school, exams, grad school applications, student conferences in NYC, group projects, and my ability to survive with negative amounts of dollars in my bank account. When I say I was broke, I mean I literally had no means of paying for rent. I would go hungry, I would walk because I had no gas to drive, I was selling furniture to buy necessities..
Then something happened. The prayers worked. God had been developing me for his master plan all along. The career of my life allowed me to dump all of the passions in my life into one bucket. And from there everything changed. Everything happens for a reason....
This new community I was welcomed into was a life changer.
The most ambitious women I have ever met, picked me up - dusted me off - and handed my my confidence back. Their support, confidence in me, motivation and resources developed this woman that I often don't even recognize. Two years ago, I would have laughed if you'd have said I'd be a social media influencer, a business owner, an entrepreneur, helping other women achieve their fullest potential.
This is what I do now. I use my passion for fitness. My passion for helping others. My passion for leadership, creativity, travel, women empowerment, serving, faith, family to build my brand, to earn an income-- all to positively influence everyone I come in contact with and those who come across my social media.
My goal is to motivate and inspire other women my age to become the best versions of themselves and dump everything they're passionate about into one bucket. My goal is to share what I've implemented in my life with other women -- if it's made such an influence on me, I can't imagine how many other women with similar struggles it could also transform.
My goal is to reach women who need my help. Who are looking for a solution either for financial grace or within their health. I hope to continue to coach hundreds of women in their fitness and business.
My goal is to leave this world having fulfilled my potential. I'm confident that I've already made a difference in several lives -- I'll continue to do so until the good Lord brings me home.
All for his glory. I have found my passion.
